Julie Sonnenberg, R.N., BSN, has 30 years of experience in healthcare specifically in medical-surgical nursing with an emphasis on cardiac critical care. She has cared for people and their families when they were at their most vulnerable and helped them walk through this life-altering experience. Personally, Julie also journeyed through her own trials in her recovery from Alcoholism. She brings that understanding into her current work. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband, children and grandchildren. She has recently retired from nursing and is looking forward to exploring areas of helping others through improved self-care practices with Project PEACE.
Sheila Humphrey, MSW has been a social worker working with or advocating for children for 25 years. Her diverse experience has ranged from inpatient adolescent psychiatry, policy development and advocacy for children, and quality improvement of early child care educational experiences in Missouri. Her most recent work has been working with children with autism. However, it is her personal experience in raising 2 children with special needs that support her knowledge and sensitivity, and fuels her passion for children. Sheila received her Masters of Social Work from St. Louis University. She lives in St. Louis with her husband and 4 children.
